designation of IBTO as WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training on Blood Safety for the third consecutive period

The High Institute of Research and Education in Transfusion Medicine and Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization (IBTO) have been re-designated as WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training on Blood Safety for a period of 4 years, starting from 1 September 2021.

During the mentioned period, WHO Collaborating Center will provide support for implementation of the regional strategic framework for blood safety and availability (2016-2025), provide support in promoting the use of plasma for fractionation in the e Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR) and conduct operational research on blood safety and availability.
